<p>This simple tool will be very useful if you can&#8217;t or don&#8217;t want to pick up the phone when it rings. In the settings you will be able to enable the application and adjust the sensitivity of the accelerometer. Be very careful with the sensitivity, as if you set it too high, the phone will start rejecting calls even from its own vibration. If you configured everything correctly then when an incoming call comes all you will need to do is to shake the device (or tap on it) and the call will first be muted and then completely rejected.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span id="more-550"></span><a href="http://www.droid.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/shake-2-mute-call-setup.png"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-559" title="shake 2 mute call setup" src="http://www.droid.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/shake-2-mute-call-setup-180x300.png" alt="shake 2 mute call setup" width="180" height="300" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The application seems to be working quite well on my Nexus One, so if you do need such functionality, look for it on the Market.</p>

<p>This small application allows you to put shortcuts to absolutely any program installed on your phone into the notification area for subsequent use.</p>
<p><span id="more-547"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.droid.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/bar-control-select-program.png"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-553" title="bar control - select program" src="http://www.droid.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/bar-control-select-program-180x300.png" alt="bar control - select program" width="180" height="300" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">
The program is very simple &#8211; all you need to do is choose the application to be added to the status bar and select an icon appears to be used. But there is a small drawback, which is caused by the restriction in the operating system itself &#8211; it is not possible to add custom icons to the status bar. So you will have to choose one of the pre-installed icons. This is not very convenient, but I think that it will not take much time to remember which icons are associated with which applications.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.droid.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/bar-control-select-icon.png"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-554" title="bar control - select icon" src="http://www.droid.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/bar-control-select-icon-180x300.png" alt="bar control - select icon" width="180" height="300" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.droid.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/bar-control.png"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-555" title="bar control" src="http://www.droid.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/bar-control-180x300.png" alt="bar control" width="180" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>I&#8217;m not yet sure whether adding applications to the notification bar would improve the user experience or make the operating system easier to use, but it wouldn&#8217;t heart to give it a try.</p>
