Norwegian company Opera Software has announced the release of the beta version of its mobile browser, Opera Mobile 10.1 (not to be confused with Opera Mini!) for Android.

New Android pads from ViewSonic

Droid Earlier this week ViewSonic announced two new Android based pads: seven-inch ViewPad 7 and ten-inch ViewPad 10. These devices are ViewSonic’s first attempt to enter the new market, and, I believe, are worth considering if you are looking for an Android based device.

Droid As you probably know, the standard Android email client is not particularly functional and doesn’t offer any advanced features. Default Android mail is entirely tied to your Gmail account, which is not that surprising. Unfortunately, there are not that many alternatives either. Yahoo Mail client is one of them. It has its pros and cons, but is still a very worthy alternative.

Droid Today’s topic is not directly related to the Android or mobile devices in general. We’ve all heard about the global warming and the whole world seems to be keen to use new eco-friendly devices and renewable energy sources. I came across this amazing green concept, which has all chances to become a huge success when/if it is released. The product is called Solaris sun shade. It is designed for those who enjoy working outside. This solar-powered umbrella not only provides shade, it also powers your laptop and gadgets so you can work outside as long you like (depending on the weather of course).

Droid Last week HTC have announced two new Android smartphones – HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z. This announcement wasn’t really a surprise for those who follow the Android news. First rumours and semi-official details of the HTC Desire HD started circulating over a month ago. Back then the Taiwanese company didn’t bother confirming or denying the rumours about the new devices, but many already knew that a flagship was underway and what it would look like.
