Earlier this week, at the CTIA WIRELES 2010 exhibition in Las Vegas, Samsung unveiled its new flagship Android smartphone – Samsung Galaxy S. The device has very impressive characteristics (which is expected from a phone of this level) that will enable it to (almost certainly) be one of the most technically advanced Android based smartphones for a few months after the release.
HTC Legend is rumored to be released some time in April and first testers started posting their reviews and first impressions. Below are couple of video reviews from Slashgear and CoolSmartPhone.
Unfortunately the highly anticipated upgrade of Motorola Droid to Android 2.1 has been delayed. No further details are available at this stage. Hopefully this delay is caused by some small bugs and the upgrade will be deployed in the near future. I will keep you posted.
MobileChurch reports that according to the leaked memo, Motorola Droid will be upgraded to the Android 2.1 on Thursday 18th of March (US time). The upgrades will be rolled out gradually, so it might take few days before everyone gets the new version. But the wait is definately worth it:).
If you are a lucky owner of Nexus One, you might be aware of an issue with the screen sensor – it doesn’t always recognise touches correctly. During the experiment, which compares Motorola Milestone (Droid) with Google Nexus One, visible differences in touch processing were identified.
“When you hold it in your hands – it is hard to believe that this is a phone. It is a work of art! “- these were the words used by HTC’s marketing director John Wong when presenting HTC Legend.
A new video of HTC Desire smartphone has been posted on YouTube. And it is quite hard not to desire a smartphone with 1Ghz processor, 567Mb of RAM, Android 2.1 and other features.
When you first look at the HTC Legend, it’s easy enough to understand that the smartphone is continuing the tradition of HTC Hero. There are some improvements and differences, but device’s body is really the main change. The brand bend at the bottom of the device is still there, but the material has been changed, it is now a solid piece of aluminum.
HTC Desire, formerly known as HTC Bravo is a new flagship smartphone from HTC. It was recently announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This device will succeed Nexus One at the top of HTC’s line of Android devices. This is a rather good news for Australian buyers, as Desire is more likely to be officially offered in Australia. Desire’s design continues HTC’s tradition, so do not be surprised if some elements look familiar.
Samsung unveiled their new Android (version 2.1) smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain. The phone’s index is i8520, but it is also known as Beam or Halo (name used during the design stage). Looking at the specifications, you might think that Samsung decided not to think much and just include all of the most recent technologies. After all, someone will certainly need the “top of the range” phone.
