I found this really cool video that shows a new technology called QuickBoot, which allows Android devices to be booted literally in a second. Have a look yourself, it it truly amazing.

It usually takes about 30 seconds to load Android OS, and compared to that time what QuickBoot does is really cool. Truth to be told, this is not “really” a cold boot, as QuickBoot loads an image saved before the device was powered down, so the technology is similar to ‘sleep’ or ‘hibernate’ options available on PCs and laptops.
